Teaching Practicum II / 2nd period

Mission Accomplished.

Well at least today was the last practice of the period. What was good  and bad today?

The good part is that dealing with difficult situations challenge me  to think things over before  acting, that is, to be careful when correcting student´s mistakes in the appropriate time  and  with the appropriate tone of voice. Also, that i never have to  be quick to  give a bad grade to a student just because  there is a lack of communication. I learned that a teacher has to provide rapport in order to make students participate and help them to go ahead  and achieve their goals. You can have a lot of knowledge    in teaching, but it is not enough; also  you have to treat others as you wished to be treated.

On the other hand, bad things , I made some mistakes in pronunciation. I had problems in controlling time  in the activities, etc. However, I know that i gained more teaching experience.

  1. Chejeeiinn... that's the purpose Claudia. We are learning by doing, and we are gaining a lot of experience in this subjct because we are in the "real world". Now, you learned a lot from a single class, so you have the knowledge in order to avoid those mistakes in the future.

  2. Also, I have learned from my mistakes. I think that all of us have learned from our mistakes. That's the good part of this subject. As Raul said, we are put in the real world, so we have the opportunity to have real authentic learning. I guess that we all have problems with our pronunciation, but as we practice, we will gain more knowledge in that field.

  3. Claudia I know this practices´ period have been so hard and difficult for you because of your tutor even though that is good for you because in that way you could see and learned many things. I know is like a drastic way to learn but it is also meaningful! Keep working hard and you are going to be better than yesterday and today and for sure one of the best in the future!
